Paragon 360 completes a renovation of First Baptist Branson.
Project Overview
Paragon 360 was called on to provide the first major expansion and renovation First Baptist Branson, MO had seen in many years. The project included renovation of the main sanctuary space, a new atrium addition and outdoor seating areas. Paragon brought its architectural partner, Torgerson Design Partners, to the table for architectural services. The project had been discussed for many years prior to contracts being signed in 2022 for design work with completion in late 2023.
Main Worship Space
Paragon provided AVL systems in the worship center, production studio and atrium. In the worship center space, the audio system featured Martin Line Array systems and incorporated the clients existing Allen and Heath eco system, tying everything together with Dante primary/secondary and QSC core technology for control campus wide. The main feature of the platform was a Revelux StoryGlass LED wall. Paragon also provided (2) new 14’ wide projection screens, with Panasonic 12,000 lumen laser projectors for IMAG, confidence monitors and Canon camera systems. The platform stage lighting system included both Chauvet Ovation and Prolights, LED fixtures, ETC relay panels and distribution by ETC and Ace Backstage. The project also included Chroma-Q LED house lighting fixtures and custom rigging.
Atrium
The new atrium addition brought new life to the exterior look and feel of the building. The atrium was comprised of distributed audio and video systems tied back to the church’s existing control room. Over (20) JBL compact, full-range pendant speakers were installed in the new atrium space along with (6) 82” LED displays for signage. Additional systems were installed in the kids’ space, and the Well. An extensive clear com system was also designed and installed. The broadcast room also included a new Allen & Heath 48 channel console along with studio monitors, custom racks and Lyntec panels.
Challenges to Overcome
The main sanctuary space was a very challenging room to accomplish the church’s goals with extensive structural and sightline limitations which weighed heavily into the design. Complicating the design even further was the amount of pre-existing, owner furnished equipment that had to be worked into the design. Regardless of the obstacles, the project turned out very well and the final product is outstanding. “I can’t say thank-you enough to the Paragon team” stated Gerry Davis, Technical Director at FBC Branson. “I was overjoyed seeing it all done. I was truly beside myself with appreciation for the Paragon team.”
