Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation owns, operates or partners in 22 properties in ten states. Some of these include Branson, Missouri’s Silver Dollar City theme park, Showboat Branson Belle lake attraction, White Water water park, Talking Rocks Caverns, and Dollywood theme park. In Georgia, HFE operates Atlanta’s Stone Mountain Park in conjunction with the State of Georgia.
For many years the design, creation, and implementation of the biggest shows and attractions came from an internal group called corporate development. Paragon 360 worked with Corporate Development on some of their projects providing lighting design, technical coordination, rigging design, scenic design, and show creation. Some of these projects included a Dolly Parton Museum at their Dollywood Park and various projects at the Silver Dollar City property.
Two of the largest projects however were at the Stone Mountain Park property in Atlanta, GA. Here, Paragon was responsible for lighting design, technical elements, and scenic design for the new construction of a 4-D effects theatre. Part of the scenic elements included the design and creation of (2) 23’ Cypress trees that were metal frame and fiberglass shell with 30′ branches that sprawled out across the 60’ projection screen creating a portal for the screen.
In addition, Paragon worked for over a year along side Corporate Development on creating a new, renovated multi-million dollar evening show spectacular as a replacement to the one running nightly at the famous mountain side carving. The new show later got shelved by HFE due to other attraction development priorities.
