[break]Kenny Chesney has won multiple CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year Awards this past decade. The country superstar, after a year’s sabbatical from touring, embarked on the “Goin’ Coastal” Tour in 2011. There were over sixty date scheduled in amphitheaters and stadiums nationwide. Tour dates will include NFL Stadiums in Tampa, Florida, Dallas, Texas, Green Bay, Wisconsin, Kansas City, Missouri, Pittsburg and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Detroit, Michigan and Foxboro, Massachusetts.
A key element of the tour’s success for over eight years was the superb sound production provided by Morris Leasing of Nashville under the direction of Phillip Scobee and the sale/support provided by SG Integration (now PARAGON 360). The system is the world’s largest touring Electro Voice sound system on the planet.
Developed and field-tested on previous Chesney tours, the EV NetMax system employs state-of-the-art Finite Impulse Response filters. The processing provides linear phase performance for sonic clarity and improved pattern control far beyond all other DSP-based system drive packages.
“This system brings our full-range main loudspeaker system total to 176 enclosures not including front-fills and any floor subwoofers. They are all EV NetMax/IRIS-Net DSP and amplifier controlled, but this time everything is FIR based. We’ve helped develop FIR-drive on this tour over the last couple of years and now it’s complete. In terms of quality and quantity, the system has become what we envisioned when we started working with EV and SG Integration“, commented Scobee.
In addition, a Midas XL8 is used as the front of house console and two Midas PRO 6’s are used at the monitor position to handle the 24 In-Ear Monitor Systems.
Morris Leasing also provides tour equipment to Gretchen Wilson, Sugarland and Big & Rich, among others.
