In late 2012, First Baptist Church Houston in Houston, TX, contacted Paragon 360™ about some renovation concepts for their stage space that would involve design and fabrication of custom stage elements, additional lighting equipment, and the design and fabrication of a custom scenic wagon that would act as a three-sided theatrical set for their Christmas Productions.
Paragon designed and fabricated several custom stage treatments, which included custom curved illuminated modesty walls, with an additional wall separating the main stage from the choir areas, and two illuminated 18’ towers. The units featured wood grain vinyl that matched other trim within the space, and were all lit with a variety of Chauvet LED units.
The stage units are all modular, and can be moved around and relocated, while graphic panels can be switched out, allowing for new looks at any time. With interior LED lighting, the flexibility is endless. Environmental projection is used on the wall between the upstage columns.
Paragon also designed and fabricated a custom rolling scenic unit that folded into three different sets. The massive unit was almost 27’ in length, and featured an aluminum frame with textured rock elements throughout that were fabricated from molded hard shell foam, which was then hand-painted by scenic artists. The unit was used in various scenes of First Houston’s Christmas Production as a tomb, mountain, and a market place.
