[break]Paragon 360 has been working with First Baptist Church Springdale (now Cross Church) since 2001. This church of over 20,000 members now supports three campuses in Springdale, Fayetteville and its Cross Church Pinnacle facility in Rogers AR.
Paragon’s work at the main Springdale campus has included both production work for their large scale Christmas productions and two different renovations to the lighting system. The first of these was only a fixture upgrade that encompassed over 100 new lighting fixtures from moving lights to conventional units in addition to the creation of new lighting positions throughout the sanctuary.
In 2008, Paragon 360 completed a turn-key lighting system upgrade that included an all new ETC dimming system, Unison architectural control, new circuit distribution, an Ethernet control network, Grand MA Lite lighting console and multiple LED fixtures complimenting the existing set elements within the space.
The existing stage sets were re-lit with LED units which replaced many older style strip lights which required ample dimming, lamp replacement and more routine maintenance. The Unison system now allows the church to have several prepared looks for weddings and facility tours to be activated by the push of a button at the backstage entrances by anyone. This means that the lighting console does not have to be accessed for this specific purpose making it very user-friendly. The new distribution included new dimming circuits in addition to Edison, 208V power circuits and data all built into the system.
The renovation plan also included creating a temporary stage and house lighting setup for Sunday services so that the church did not experience any down time. This included rental dimming, trussing and fixtures implemented by the Paragon 360 team.
“From the initial consultation to the end of the renovation they went above and beyond the call of duty, staying within our budget and meeting a very difficult timeline” They were there every step of the way and always made us feel that we were a high priority. The assistance with the design and implementation of a temporary system, the coordination with contractors, the training of our staff after the installation and their presence on Sunday morning was highly appreciated.” ~ Kim Noblitt, Worship Pastor, Crosschurch, Springdale, AR
