Ryan Cowen came to the Paragon 360™ family in the Fall of 2015 with 17 years of experience in the AVL industry. He spent 14 years working for Herschend Family Entertainment at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, and has a substantial background in installation & maintenance of multiple AVL systems.
While at SDC, Ryan held numerous positions, including eight years as Front of House Audio Engineer at Echo Hollow Theatre, three years as Front of House Audio Engineer for the Dickens’ Christmas Carol, and four years as the in-house Audio Designer for the “It’s a Wonderful Life” Christmas Production. He also designed the audio & synchronization system for the “Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Light Parade”, and was responsible for the maintenance of the 50-foot Christmas Tree that plays a prominent role in Silver Dollar City’s nationally acclaimed “An Old Time Christmas” annual festive. Additionally, Ryan also held the positions of Lead Audio Engineer & technical support for the Entertainment & Events Division at SDC. He is also an Avid Certified Pro Tools User.
Ryan has a background in aviation, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technology, and a Master of Science degree in Aviation Safety, both from the University of Central Missouri. He also holds a Private Pilot’s Certificate with a single engine rating, and is currently working towards his instrument rating. He is also an Airframe & Power plant certified aviation mechanic, with an Inspection Authorization from the FAA.
As one of Paragon’s leading installers, Ryan is responsible for the shop prep and installation of professional audio, video and lighting systems for the wide variety of projects that Paragon is involved in. Ryan is also involved in system commissioning.
