Derick Richardson

CAD Drafting & Design

Derick joined the Paragon team in 2010. He attended ITT Technical Institute in Sacramento, California, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. He spent several years working as a Mechanical Draftsman for B & H Manufacturing, Inc. in Modesto, California, where he designed high speed labeling machines for such companies as Coke, Pepsi and Procter & Gamble.

Derick went on to spend over nine years working as an electrical/mechanical designer with Tesco Controls, Inc. in Sacramento, California, designing electrical sub-stations, medium voltage switchgear and electrical control systems in the greater Sacramento area. More recently, he spent three years designing electrical and HVAC systems for large commercial complexes, hospitals and construction projects of all types.

Derick brings many years of CAD design expertise to the Paragon group, and he holds very valuable information from a long background in construction and project development. At Paragon, he is ultimately responsible for the largest majority of drawing projects that head out the door on a daily basis. We rely on him to help draw, design and engineer systems for almost all of Paragon’s projects. The detail work that goes into a set of drawings is critical for its proper installation and functionality.
