Clayton Avery

Installation Lead

Prior to joining Paragon 360™, Clayton Avery spent several years working with Associated Theatrical Contractors in Springfield, MO, as their lead installer on a wide variety of projects all across the Midwest. These projects included the installation of complex rigging systems, lighting, audio, video and motorized curtain systems in theaters, churches, schools and live event entertainment.

Clayton has worked with Paragon 360™ in the past on projects at Rockwood School District Theaters in St. Louis and the Church At Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, AR. Clayton’s specialties include lighting and rigging work. He has extensive experience in the installation of manual counter-weight fly systems, variable-speed motorized battens, self-climbing trusses and winch-operated fly systems. He has also rigged concerts for IATSE Local 31, Stage Labor in Springfield, MO and Toucan Productions. Clayton has worked with Liberty Exposition Services in Kansas City, MO, IATSE Local 31 and FM Productions.

As Paragon’s Installation Lead, Clayton is responsible for the onsite work that happens during a Paragon installation. At the office he works closely with the design staff and the project manager on the development and logistics of projects and pre-installation planning. In the field, he manages the installation of projects and coordinates details between clients, contractors and other trades. Clayton spends between 150-170 days a year on the road managing Paragon’s installations.

In March of 2014, Clayton joined the ranks of the upper 1/3 of riggers working in the entertainment industry when he passed the ETCP Theatre Rigging Test, making him an internationally recognized ETCP Certified Rigger. In the Spring of 2016, he acquired his ETCP Arena Rigging Certification. Those who pass these tests are recognized by industry professionals as the best riggers in the industry. Clayton is also an ETC Certified Turn on Technician. In November of 2014, Clayton became a CM-ET Certified Hoist Technician, after passing the CM-ET Hoist Technician Certification Course.
